Reflecting

A few days ago, I made a post about losing motivation. It was somewhat inspired by my rapid loss of motivation to continue blogging here. Why? I don't know; this is something I enjoy doing and always have.

Anyway, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things now.

My April vacation has just ended. It's Monday and my first day back at school after about a week. I'm not too disheartened because it's not that bad--and I only have a few weeks left until the school year is over. My schedule today isn't bad either. My online class (which I am currently in), English, homeroom, and my history of rock 'n' roll class. Not too bad for a first Monday back after a long, peaceful, much-needed break.

Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream came out on the 16th, and I saw many people talking about it, so I decided to give it a shot. Safe to say I'm addicted. I think it's perfectly paced for a relaxing, semi-mindless but still entertaining game. I am, however, a bit irritated that you can't send screenshots from the software to your phone. I read on Reddit that they restricted it due to the creative freedom in the game to prevent things from being taken out of context. I understand that--I've seen quite a few funny things--but it's still a bit annoying. The gaming community has always been just that--a community--and especially with the aforementioned creative freedom, I think that sharing and showing off things in the game would have an overall good impact. I'm not sure if they'll change it, but I hope they do.

A few days ago, I joined a new server on Discord and made some nice acquaintances. I like the way they view and perceive me. There's not much else to say on that front, though.

Otherwise, I've just been relaxing, making my way through life as per usual. With the school year coming to a close, my mind has been running a bit wild. In June, my first year of high school will be over. I didn't accomplish much in terms of social things this year, but my academics are much better. One thing at a time. Maybe next year I'll make some friends in real life and have a proper teenage-hood experience.

Despite the ups and downs, this school year has been very good in my opinion. I got my first two detentions this year (both of which were given to me unfairly, but that's a different story). However, I've also been getting more school work done, my algebra grade is improving, I'm caught up in all of my classes, and I've gotten my gym credits that are required for graduation even though I hate gym.
