Elon Musk Is a Trillionaire - Here's What a Trillion Dollars Could Do.
On Friday, June 12, 2026, Elon Musk officially became the world's first trillionaire. This officially makes him the richest person in the world.
I don't care if people say he "worked hard" for the money, or that he "deserved" it. Nobody needs a trillion dollars. To emphasize this point, here's what less than a trillion dollars could do for various social and financial crises (remember, these are very rough estimates. All of these vary wildly):
- End homelessness for one year in the U.S.: $11 billion to $30 billion,
- End world hunger by 2030: $330 billion,
- Donate $100 to every charity: $1 billion.
This is what I could find in my ~10 minutes of research because it's not even 9 A.M. yet but I am very annoyed with the fact that there is someone out there with a trillion dollars, and millions with no money.
If you spent one million dollars per day as a trillionaire, it would take over 2.7 thousand years to spend all of it. Nobody needs a trillion dollars.
And, what's more--he will keep getting richer. He still is. Elon Musk makes $2.5 billion per day.
Fuck Elon Musk, and fuck anybody who supports him. He is a bad person outside of being a trillionaire.
P.S. - I could be completely wrong about some of this. I'm flunking algebra one so this definitely isn't my strong suit. But my point still stands. Nobody deserves one trillion dollars.
