AI is Getting Dumber, & There's a Reason Why
As the title says, AI is getting dumber. As new models roll out, AI "hallucinations" are becoming more common, and so is misinformation and backtracking on the AI's part.
I'm not a conspiracy person (<- me when I lie), but I'm positive there's a reason as to why AI is getting more artificial and less intelligent. It's no secret that powerful people (billionaires, government officials, companies, etc.) want to dumb us down and manipulate us for their own gain. With all of the political things happening in the US, that fact is becoming more and more obvious.
Companies are pushing AI more than ever despite the fact that it's becoming less intelligent. I think that either they or the AIs themselves want us to be dumber, and to think that the AIs are dumber--and therefore underestimate them. AI is a powerful technology, and that should always be acknowledged with caution.
What, exactly, corporations and AIs want to do, I'm not sure of. It's impossible to know, in my opinion. But, I absolutely believe that if you continue looking closely, it will reveal itself in due time.
